Nha Trang

Nha Trang is one of the most important tourist hubs of Vietnam, thanks to its beautiful beaches with fine and clean sand and clear ocean water with mild temperature all year round. There are several resorts, amusement parks in this city and on islands off the coast. The most beautiful streets of the city is Tran Phu Street along the seaside. Nha Trang is a venue for annual sailing boat racing from Hong Kong. In recent years, the city has welcomed many 5-star sea cruises. The city’s cuisine is famous for its fresh seafood. The area's bird's nest soup is deemed one of the best in Vietnam.

Nha Trang is a coastal city and capital of Khánh Hòa province, on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. It is well known for its pristine beaches and excellent scuba diving and is fast becoming a popular destination for international tourists, attracting large numbers of backpackers as well as more affluent travelers on the Southeast Asia circuit. It is already very popular with Vietnamese tourists. Nha Trang Bay is amongst the world's most beautiful bays.

The city has about 300,000 inhabitants and is projected to increase to 500,000 to 600,000 inhabitants in the year 2020 according to estimation of Nha Trang Administrative Board Status

Tourist Activities:
In addition to the sailing boat racing, Nha Trang has a wealth of tourist activities for visitors. Island hopping, scuba diving, water sports and many other great beach resort community activities can be had here in Nha Trang.

Diving

Nha Trang is the prime location for scuba diving in Vietnam. Like all dive sites in Vietnam big fish life is absent but the colours and diversity of soft corals made it one of the most prolific spots for macro life. Over fifty different species of nudibranchs were recorded from this one spot as well as numerous types of shrimps, crabs, flatworms, cowries and mantis shrimps.

Shopping

If you want to do shopping here, you had better go with a native person or make a half bargain or more wherever you do except Supermarket and the shops belong to the companies where they display the fixed price. Besides, You can ask the guide or the receptionist to show you the reliable place to go shopping: however, be careful you should still keep smoothly bargaining since some guides or receptionists are paid to introduce the tourists to those shops. Lastly, please check your bought things carefully before paying when you buy them in market. If you buy from shops of companies this is not a matter.

Even at fixed pricing, ask for a deal.  Ask for 10% off after you purchased a large sum. Remind them that as a courtesy to keep you as their preferred shop, suggest with respect for a discount. Please please be respectful when you negotiate for a discount.

Bamboo Island

Lying off Nha Trang is Bamboo Island, operated by the Sofitel Vinpearl Group. There is now a motorized chair lift system, reportedly the longest in the world, linking the mainland to the five-star resort and theme park on Bamboo Island.

Vinpearl Water Park

Part of the same operation as the amusement park, the Vinpearl Water Park is the ideal place to take the kids on a day when the hot weather precludes any sightseeing possibilities. A variety of giant slides, a wave pool, a cable ride and water games; list among the attractions on offer. Food and refreshments are available for purchase so it’s feasible to spend the entire day at the park.
